We have a very successful basketball ministry that convenes on Monday and Thursday each week. The participants enjoy competition in a Christian setting. Although many players are not members of the Body of Christ, they participate in corporate prayer before every game and adhere to rules based upon Christian ethics. It is a family - friendly environment.
Over 300 "non-churched" people visit this building every week. Our membership has increased as a direct result of this outreach. Our members are able to practice "friendship evangelism" in a non-threatening setting.
Our outreach is geared toward the neighborhood youth. There is open recreation for neighborhood children during the week where they are exposed to the Gospel, adult mentors, Christian music videos and a free meal. We have open recreation for the youth twice weekly in our gym. We also have family recreation on Sunday evenings. Saturday mornings is adult basketball. We have a summer lunch program and we serve the kids dinner twice per week during the school year.

Our building has also been converted to an auditorium where we have hosted concerts featuring Helen Baylor, The Gospel Gangstaz, and local talent in addition to conferences and seminars for equipping the saints. Visit us soon! |
